1)

Update the portsmouth ratings found in the boats worksheet -- starting at row 103

In 2008 the portsmouth ratings could be found at http://www.ussailing.org/portsmouth/tables08/tables08cb.asp

This has already been done for 2008

2)

Register all the boats, entering captain, sail number and type (type is a select list from the portsmouth table)

You must select a type from the provided list

If a boat is not found in the portsmouth ratings, pick the closest similar boat

Enter the total number of boats registered in cell A2

4)

At the start of a race record the windspeed in mph and enter the speed for that race in the green box immediately to the left of the speed

For the first race the speed should be put into cell H3

For the second race the wind speed should be put into cell K3 and so on for each race

At the end of the race record the time each boat finishes the finish line

Enter the time for each boat in the race in that boat's row and race

Entries should be put into the green cell for that race/boat combination

Times must be entered in the format HH:MI:SS.

A time of 21 minutes and 31 seconds should be entered as 0:21:31

If the boat did not finish, enter nothing for the time

Repeat step 3 -5 for a maximum of 6 races

At the end of all racing enter the number of races in cell D2

9)

Overall race standings will be displayed in column F
